Why I'm standing
We have three big government reforms ahead of us creating great uncertainty. I want to provide my knowledge and experience to ensuring we come through this process retaining a clear local voice. I'm also keen to see the port project, which I champion, complete and considerably more affordable housing built. Environment considerations are also important as we cope with higher rainfall events and other changes in climate.
About me
I'm a very experienced councillor with a strong background in business and community. My local knowledge and experience are of considerable advantage to our community as we navigate the uncertainty ahead. I have participated in the development of much of our policy and strategy and it's important that we see these in action. I'm passionate about my community.
My priorities
- Completion of the port to a functioning marine precinct, safe recreation and a slip way that works.
- Build more homes. End people living in cars or three families per house. Warm affordable homes are a right.
- Prioritise issues. Water, wastewater and management of rain events. Action plans for coastal and dune erosion.
