Why I'm standing

I'm standing to bring a strategic, empathetic, and data-driven point of view to ensure our tamariki find Whanganui better than we did. That our local businesses thrive, resulting in higher wages, not higher rates. Lastly, so I can serve the people through this inflationary period that has caused so much harm to so many of our people.

About me

I have spent the last 15 years working with central government ministries to drive transformation; leading to happier employees and lower costs. Locally I run a management consultancy business with 16 employees, I am a member of the institution of directors and a registered business mentor. However, I believe having a wife (Lucy) and three amazing children (Benjamin, Alexander and Daisy) is what defines me as a good elected representative. For my family and yours.

My priorities
  1. Fix our housing crisis through innovation and then sending the invoice to the central government.
  2. A new strategy for Whanganui focused on appropriate measures to show value to our people.
  3. An objective and transparent dashboard for how the council works and how we prioritise initiatives.
