Why I'm standing

I am standing for council because I want to help guide the exciting change and progress that Whanganui finds itself experiencing. I believe I have the experience and ability to do so. My business experience and community acumen will help provide diversity of thought, and also considered decision-making at the council table. Our future growth is inevitable, but no one sector should be left behind.

About me

I have a wealth of experience in local governance at business, economic development, and community level with a proven track record. I also have extensive connections back to my community both at a business and at a community level.

My priorities
  1. Listen and learn so that I can be effective in what I want to achieve for our community.
  2. Get Whanganui above third from bottom in tourism income compared to the rest of New Zealand.
  3. Understand what can be done to make sure the whole community can benefit from our economic growth.
