Why I'm standing

I'm running for re-election to bring a positive and respectful approach to council and to conduct my role with integrity. I want to Te Awa Tupua to become the basis of our identity. I want to invest to provide local housing solutions, to implement a youth hub, and to provide public spaces that reflect our diverse and multicultural populations. A vote for me is a vote for integrity.

About me

Over the last six years, I have brought a positive, respectful approach to council. In the current divisive climate we live in, this approach is important now more than ever. Through two terms on council, one term on the Whanganui DHB, chairing Age Concern and Youth Services Trust, and through my role on the St Anne's School board, I have a comprehensive understanding of governance.

My priorities
  1. Implementing a centrally-located youth hub, a physical multipurpose space for young people.
  2. Providing resourcing to address our local housing crisis and expanding our council-housing stock.
  3. Te Awa Tupua as the basis of our identity, and creating a cultural hub that celebrates Te Awa Tupua.
