Hutt City Council

Hutt City At Large
The Hutt City Council provides local services and facilities, such as public transport, rubbish and recycling, libraries, parks, and recreation facilities. It also makes decisions about building and planning, local regulations, and infrastructure, such as water supply and sewerage. The council is made up of 12 councillors and the mayor. This election is for the six councillors elected by all voters in the city. The other councillors will be elected to represent wards (areas in the city). This is a first past the post (FPP) election, so you vote by ticking the name of your preferred candidate on your ballot paper. Compare the candidates and their policies to decide who to vote for in the Hutt City Council election.

Why I'm standing

I feel compelled to stand for our city as I am genuinely concerned that our communities are not being listened to. I will always remain independent for any local body position so my loyalty remains to the local people not a political party.

About me

I am community minded and have six years experience in local government. I care about and will put people before politics. With no other agenda than to serve my community, I genuinely listen and advocate.

My priorities
  1. Stop the excessive rates increases and restore financial discipline! Stop the massive overspending.
  2. Genuinely consult without party politics overshadowing decision making.
  3. Review operations and fix the broken services. Meet obligations to ratepayers and businesses.
