Why I'm standing

I love our city and truly believe it has so much to offer to not only Hutt residents but for everyone who visits Hutt. I am passionate about providing the best service at an affordable cost and make it a desirable city for those who wish to make it home or visit us. I want more vibrance and diversity in art and culture, people, sports and events that caters to all age groups.

About me

I have lived in the Hutt since I migrated to NZ, 23 years ago. I have established strong connections with diverse community groups in the Hutt. I am actively involved in the community in varying capacities. Eg: I was the chair of the Hutt Valley District Health Board consumer council for 2.5 years, member of the Hutt City Council community panel for central ward for the second term, board member of Arohanui Strings, Hutt Multicultural council and run my dance school.

My priorities
  1. Introduce art and culture activities/events and festivals in the Hutt making Hutt vibrant and fun.
  2. Provide subsidised public transport for Hutt residents and increase frequency including weekends.
  3. Provide excellent and timely services to our people. Retain good and experienced staff at council.
