Why I'm standing

Over the last three years I have watched council make some good decisions and some disappointing ones – these are so because of a lack of engagement with the community. I want to bring that back – good decisions based on community feedback.

About me

I am a long time Upper Hutt resident who has been involved with or supported different community organisations some of which I have led, and still do. I am a proven councillor and advocate, who engages with the community and want to bring that back to the decisions being made.

My priorities
  1. Review all projects and plans to ensure work is fiscally responsible and aligned with the LTP.
  2. Advocate for a plan to improve transparency and communication that increase trust in council decisions.
  3. Support the mayor and team of elected members to ensure good engagement and governance practice.
