Why I'm standing
Over the last three years I have watched council make some good decisions and some disappointing ones – these are so because of a lack of engagement with the community. I want to bring that back – good decisions based on community feedback.
About me
I am a long time Upper Hutt resident who has been involved with or supported different community organisations some of which I have led, and still do. I am a proven councillor and advocate, who engages with the community and want to bring that back to the decisions being made.
My priorities
- Review all projects and plans to ensure work is fiscally responsible and aligned with the LTP.
- Advocate for a plan to improve transparency and communication that increase trust in council decisions.
- Support the mayor and team of elected members to ensure good engagement and governance practice.
