Why I'm standing

After many years of involvement in local decision making and feeling unheard, I decided that it was time to pull my chair closer to the table. The nail on the head was watching submitters during the recent Long Term Plan consultation offer solutions to an unresponsive room full of decision makers that had little to no impact and witnessing the effects this had on the wairua of those submitters.

About me

Because you can ask me what have I done? not What will I do? I have walked the talk and actively engaged in local decision making. That participation means that I am aware of the challenges being faced. I have my values. However, I am very open minded and prefer to hear and consider all points of view. I bring experiential knowledge and open mindedness to the table.

My priorities
  1. Reduce rates over time to provide an affordable cost of living for ratepayers.
  2. Provide transparent engagement with community from conception in a variety of ways and platforms.
  3. Continue to advocate for and with ratepayers throughout transition to the new water entity.
