Why I'm standing

I'm running because I love Upper Hutt and I want more people to know how to engage with Council and feel confident that their voice matters. I care about creating a Council that listens, communicates clearly, and invites everyone to take part in shaping our city's future. Upper Hutt is our home, and together we can make decisions that reflect the whole community.

About me

I bring extensive experience working across public service, education, and Māori engagement roles, giving me practical insight into government and community systems. I'm a skilled communicator who listens, builds relationships, and connects people with opportunities to be involved. Deeply rooted in Upper Hutt, I understand local needs and values, and I am committed to representing the whole community with fairness, empathy, and a focus on inclusive decision-making.

My priorities
  1. Strengthen community engagement and make it easy for everyone to engage with council and have their say.
  2. Champion programmes that improve health, recovery, and social connection for all.
  3. Encourage growth that strengthens our city, supports families, and preserves community.
