Why I'm standing

As a first term councillor I would like to carry on the work that has started and work towards a balanced budget and other projects. I believe as a business owner I bring a professional focus to council in which I feel we need. I have lived, worked and played here all my life and am proud of who we are, lets keep that going.

About me

Upper Hutt is facing challenging times as a business owner of a transport and storage company for 43 years I have seen it all. I have spent 3 years on council learning and navigating what is essentially a slow moving bus. I have learned that although this can be frustrating it is also very rewarding. Upper Hutt needs someone that will use common sense decisions for local problems.

My priorities
  1. Balance the budget.
  2. Affordable rates.
  3. Get the best deal possible for Upper Hutt.
