It also makes decisions about building and planning, local regulations, and infrastructure, such as water supply and sewerage. The council is made up of ten councillors and the mayor. Why I'm standing
I was one of the first to cry foul over huge rate increases. I was shocked at the increasing number of closed-door meetings.
About me
I have lived in Upper Hutt for 10 years now. As an urban and tour bus driver, I get to see every town and city in New Zealand. I know what is good, bad, and ugly in each place. I see what does and does not work. Alongside good management skills, honesty and reliability, I make for a strong well-rounded candidate.
My priorities
