Why I'm standing

I'm standing for Upper Hutt City Council as your voice for fiscal responsibility, economic growth and community pride – and to keep decision-making in Upper Hutt, not handed over to Wellington through amalgamation. I love Upper Hutt – its people, its parks, its potential. It is a great place to live and play. However, I believe we need to pivot towards strengthening our economy, creating jobs and lifting prosperity for all.

About me

I combine financial discipline, visionary thinking and genuine community connection. I can see the big picture but also understand the daily struggles of residents. I am offering stewardship of ratepayer money, bold ideas to grow the economy and practical policies that improve lives right now. I am a Chartered Accountant, a member of the Institute of Directors and a problem solver. I will work to ensure prosperity for all while protecting our beautiful environment.

My priorities
  1. Keep rates fair and stable as a share of household income and improve digital use.
  2. Address potholes, improve roading and improve water infrastructure.
  3. Foster a better environment for business and industry and unlock tourism growth.
