Why I'm standing

I have either lived or worked in Upper Hutt for the last 48 years, it is my home that I love. In particular I am concerned with the state of the CBD, too many empty shops, a poorly managed mall, and rampant burglaries and theft. I want a council that is going to focus on improving the CBD, it is the heart of the city.

About me

I have worked in the hospitality industry for the last 28 years, giving me immense experience in dealing with people face to face, communicating and resolving conflict. I am a people person, easy to talk to and always happy to listen. I am also an experienced business person, having managed multiple venues and currently own Blend Bar and Bistro, knowing the struggle businesses currently face.

My priorities
  1. Improve the CBD by addressing too many empty and derelict shops and a poorly managed mall.
  2. Provide businesses more tools and information to prevent and fight crime.
  3. Improve roading, in particular State Highway Two, needs to be four-laned right to the top of Upper Hutt.
