Dunedin City Council

The Dunedin City Council provides local services and facilities, such as public transport, rubbish and recycling, libraries, parks, and recreation facilities. It also makes decisions about building and planning, local regulations, and infrastructure, such as water supply and sewerage. The council is made up of 14 councillors and the mayor. This is a single transferable vote (STV) election, so you vote by ranking the candidates on your ballot paper. Compare the candidates and their policies to decide who to vote for in the Dunedin City Council election.

Why I'm standing

I am running because I love Dunedin and believe our best days are ahead. I believe we have incredible people, creativity and potential waiting to be unlocked. I want to bring fresh energy, collaboration and a positive solutions mindset to the council table so we can turn great ideas into actions. I want to build a city we are all proud to live in, where opportunities abound and communities thrive. I believe the future can feel exciting for everyone.

About me

I'm 100% Dunedin with a track record of starting, building and growing successful businesses and community initiatives. I am known for bringing people together, tackling challenges head-on and making things happen. I am deeply connected to our communities through years of hands-on work with local organisations, youth and businesses. I bring integrity, transparency and a collaborative spirit to the table, ensuring decisions are made with the best interests of our city and with people at heart.

My priorities
  1. Fix council culture by ensuring transparency, accountability and trust because without these nothing works.
  2. Line-by-line review of spending to prioritise essentials and cut waste.
  3. Drive economic development by attracting new industries, supporting business expansion and creating jobs.
