Dunedin City Council

The Dunedin City Council provides local services and facilities, such as public transport, rubbish and recycling, libraries, parks, and recreation facilities. It also makes decisions about building and planning, local regulations, and infrastructure, such as water supply and sewerage. The council is made up of 14 councillors and the mayor. Why I'm standing

I believe that Dunedin is the best city in the world and I simply wish to give back to the city that I now call home.

About me

I have spent my life standing up for the most vulnerable in society and believe I have the negotiation and collaborative working skills to be a valuable and proactive member of council and produce the very best outcomes for those that need it the most. I believe that if we look after our most vulnerable, society as a whole thrives.

My priorities
  1. Advocate for a fit-for-purpose hospital rather than a scaled-back cut-down version.
  2. Work with central government and local stakeholders to deal with the growing homelessness issue.
  3. Protect low-lying areas, including South Dunedin, from the continued flooding issues.
