Why I'm standing

The Dunedin City Council, on many fronts, needs serious work. It is totally unprepared for the impending rates cap.

About me

Because I get things done and have a specific plan about how to bring DCC to a sustainable financial position. I have compassion for the many people on fixed incomes who face severe hardship with planned massive rate rises. I'm persuaded by evidence and results, not ideology.

My priorities
  1. Ensure no further debt and keep rates increases at or below inflation.
  2. Instruct the CEO to deliver a 2026 operating budget at least 5% below the 2025 budget.
  3. Review and reduce planned 2025–2034 capital spending.
