Why I'm standing

I believe Dunedin is a great small city - easy to live in and love. But we have a small population and council and communities need to work together and work smartly to avoid unsustainable increases in rates. My mission is to highlight the need for accountability, partnerships, and value across every decision council makes. I'm committed to asking three questions consistently: 1. Is there accountability? 2. Are there partnerships? 3. Is there value?

About me

I'm grounded, I'm respectful, I'm determined, I love our city and I'm proud to call Dunedin home. I've diverse experience across health, education, business, not-for-profits, community advocacy and local government, placing me in a strong position to effectively represent Dunedin residents at the council table. I will not shy away from providing clear expectations of our executive team, staff, and contractors - they are deserving of strong guidance, clear support, and firm accountability.

My priorities
  1. Focus on transparency by asking what the problem is, what the plan is and where accountability lies.
  2. Focus on partnership by ensuring the community is on board and supporting funding streams from private and central government sources.
  3. Focus on value by ensuring cost comparisons and robust oversight for on-budget delivery of work programmes.
