Dunedin City Council

The Dunedin City Council provides local services and facilities, such as public transport, rubbish and recycling, libraries, parks, and recreation facilities. It also makes decisions about building and planning, local regulations, and infrastructure, such as water supply and sewerage. The council is made up of 14 councillors and the mayor. This is a single transferable vote (STV) election, so you vote by ranking the candidates on your ballot paper. Compare the candidates and their policies to decide who to vote for in the Dunedin City Council election.

Why I'm standing

I am running for election to use my skills and experience as a proven facilitator and I do not support party politics at local government level.

About me

I have had nine years experience as an elected councillor and now that I have taken some time away from the council, I am fresh and ready to use my ability to listen and respond positively.

My priorities
  1. Introduce a full review of CBD parking and access.
  2. Provide better transparency through meaningful consultation and accountability.
  3. Protecting and enhancing our assets.
