Dunedin City Council

The Dunedin City Council provides local services and facilities, such as public transport, rubbish and recycling, libraries, parks, and recreation facilities. It also makes decisions about building and planning, local regulations, and infrastructure, such as water supply and sewerage. The council is made up of 14 councillors and the mayor. This is a single transferable vote (STV) election, so you vote by ranking the candidates on your ballot paper. Why I'm standing

I believe Ōtepoti Dunedin is the best city in the world, and wanted to give something back to the city that has welcomed me with open arms. I want to help keep our city progressing as it has over the last few years.

About me

Genuinely apolitical, I believe a good idea is a good idea regardless of where it originated from. My ability to see all sides and bring people to consensus will put me in a good position around the council table.

My priorities

Diversity and inclusivity.
Continued improvement of the CBD to encourage a thriving, people-focused city centre for everyone.
Ōtepoti's existing zero carbon 2030 goals and waste reduction initiatives.
