Dunedin City Council

The Dunedin City Council provides local services and facilities, such as public transport, rubbish and recycling, libraries, parks, and recreation facilities. It also makes decisions about building and planning, local regulations, and infrastructure, such as water supply and sewerage. The council is made up of 14 councillors and the mayor. This is a single transferable vote (STV) election, so you vote by ranking the candidates on your ballot paper. Why I'm standing

Our city is at a crossroad. Resident satisfaction is at an all time low and council performance has slumped. Its time for some new ideas and energy to join the council table. I want to put my hand forward to help give a voice to our community and focus on the areas which matter most to us.

About me

I co-own 2 businesses and actively manage a third. They are in manufacturing, recycling and engineering. I have served my country in the Army Reserve and have been involved with many Civil Defence events across the country. I have also been an urban bus driver. I am passionate about our city and want to use my knowledge and experience to help the community and make a better future for us all.

My priorities
  1. Give a voice back to the community and deliver on important issues that are affecting us right now.
  2. Halt any further unnecessary vanity projects, scrutinise council spending and focus on priorities.
  3. Improve parking, public transport and mobility through our city. Invest in recycling infrastructure.
