Dunedin City Council

The Dunedin City Council provides local services and facilities, such as public transport, rubbish and recycling, libraries, parks, and recreation facilities. It also makes decisions about building and planning, local regulations, and infrastructure, such as water supply and sewerage. The council is made up of 14 councillors and the mayor. This is a single transferable vote (STV) election, so you vote by ranking the candidates on your ballot paper. Why I'm standing

As a trusted community advocate I will help bring the voices of our communities ensuring our city continues to be inclusive vibrant and progressive and decisions are made on the evidence presented for the good of all.

About me

In my community work, collaborating with diverse groups to achieve common goals, has shown me the strength and value of effective communication and strong relationship building. Having lived and worked in the city, small towns, and isolated rural communities I bring that experience and understanding of what these communities need to flourish, to the table. I will contribute to building an attractive, inclusive, accessible city. I bring integrity, commitment, credibility, and honesty.

My priorities
  1. Work alongside all interested parties in developing an accessible affordable transport system.
  2. Support innovative housing initiatives which recognise the variety of supply needed.
  3. Support place based community development initiatives, proven to bring sustainable lasting growth.
