Why I'm standing

I am standing for council again so that I can serve the community full time. I love advocating for the community and teaching the community to advocate for themselves. Strong local communities with good infrastructure and amenities is enabling of healthy lives. I also enjoy thinking outside of the square and looking at opportunities to do things better and differently. I have a strong commitment to enable better connections to nature and the outdoors.

About me

I have a strong commitment to social equity and opportunities for all. Starting with involvement in Pinehill always seeking to improve children's play and learning environments. I have worked in community mental health as an Occupational Therapist and I recognise the importance of work and community involvement in people's lives. I have a lot of initiative and am able to pull people together to make things happen at all levels from playcentre to business start-ups.

My priorities
  1. Work with fellow councillor's to create a council that is diverse, inclusive and respectful.
  2. To invest in the engagement, planning and infrastructure needed to create a resilient South Dunedin.
  3. To increase housing supply to meet the future needs of the city and increase affordability.
